Missions
in East Africa "...therefore, pray
the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into the harvest." |

Rev. Chrispinus Okumu, a native of Kenya's bush country, received Jesus Christ as his savior in the 1980s. As he loved Jesus and spread the joy of his salvation to others in his country, he suffered persecution from his family and fellow countrymen for his faith. He knew God wanted to use him and obeyed the voice of the Lord. He received a four year scholarship to a Bible school in North Kenya. Now Chris Okumu ministers to the people in the bush country of Kenya, East Africa. The people in East Africa face many struggles and difficulties everyday. Basic necessities like food, shelter, running water and electricity are not a part of their everyday lives. They face poverty, sickness and death constantly and the majority of them have never heard of Jesus Christ. Rev. Okumu has a school with 500 children, many who have lost both parents to the aids disease. He builds churches and schools, trains ministers, and feeds hundreds of people each day with physical and spiritual food. |
